The use of UDP datagrams enables TopoHub to receive data permanently, independent of a time scheme. Since TopoHub uses multiprocessing, even a very high volume of data can be processed without problems. TopoHub assigns a timestamp to the received data and converts the raw data (e.g. NTC-resistance) into the corresponding physical quantities (temperature or pressure).
A number of useful features of TopoHub are already in preparation. This includes, for example, sampling for cleaning up measurement fluctuations or the possibility of simulating FTP and web servers in order to integrate sensor data into the system in this way.
