Web-based online data visualization and editing
Toast fulfills several tasks all having a common core, the creation of images (bitmaps). Toast can be used as middleware and serves its purpose as a graphics creater for your website. Toast is also two things for the end user: a TopoVit in the browser and a source for ready-made time series layouts, which are queried at the touch of a button in the browser.
As middleware, Toast works like a web server. It receives URLs and delivers graphics. The time series, presentation options, and the time period are all given in the URL. Toast creates a graphic from it as shown below in the first picture. You can embed these graphics seamlessly into your web pages (e.g., for a flood alert portal). The role of TopoVit in the browser is indicated in the other figures.
